

Longhorn Sim Racing (“LSR,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a Texas nonprofit corporation recognized as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization and a student organization affiliated with The University of Texas at Austin. We operate the website at www.longhornsimracing.org and provide a platform for sim racing events, race results, membership management, and related content (collectively, the “Service”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. It applies to your use of the Service. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

When you sign in via Google, Google shares your basic profile (name, email, profile picture) with us based on the OAuth permissions you grant. We may also receive information from third parties you choose to link to (for example, a public iRacing profile or social media link you add to your bio).

We do not use your information for behavioral advertising or to build profiles for advertising purposes, and we do not sell your personal information.
LSR is a public-facing competition organization. The following information is visible on the Service to anyone who visits, including search engines:
Information such as your email address, payment records, UT EID, and notification preferences is not displayed publicly. You can control much of what is shown by editing your profile or by retiring or deleting your account (see Section 8).
The Service is intended for users at least 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact info@longhornsimracing.org and we will delete the information promptly.
If you are between 13 and 18, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
You can view and update most of your personal information in your account settings.
You control which emails we send you in your account's notification preferences. By default, when you create an account, you are subscribed to our event and club update emails; you can opt out at any time through your account or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
You may retire your account to make it inactive while keeping your profile and history visible. A retired account cannot register for new events or sign in.

If you would like a complete deletion of historical race data as well, contact info@longhornsimracing.org with the subject “Deletion Request” and we will consider your request consistent with our legitimate interest in maintaining accurate historical competition records.
To request a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, restrict processing, or exercise any state-specific privacy right (see Section 9), email info@longhornsimracing.org with “Privacy Request” in the subject line. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.
California residents have the right to (a) know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; (b) request a copy of personal information; (c) request deletion of personal information; (d) correct inaccurate personal information; (e) limit the use of sensitive personal information; (f) opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; and (g) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise your rights, email info@longhornsimracing.org with “California Privacy Request” in the subject. We will respond within 45 days. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response.
Texas residents have the right under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of their personal data, and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, and certain forms of profiling. We do not engage in targeted advertising, sell personal data, or use personal data for solely automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.

Where permitted by law, you may designate an authorized agent to submit privacy requests on your behalf. We may require the agent to provide proof of authorization and may verify your identity directly.
We retain personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Service or to meet legal, accounting, or reporting obligations. Our standard retention periods are:

No system can be perfectly secure. If we become aware of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators as required by law.
The Service is operated from the United States and is directed at users in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have data-protection laws different from those of your jurisdiction.
The Service is not directed at residents of the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, Switzerland, or other jurisdictions with comprehensive cross-border data-protection regimes, and we do not offer the Service in those jurisdictions.
The Service contains links to third-party websites (for example, sponsor websites, social media platforms, and event partner sites). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those websites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party site you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will also post a notice on the Service or send an email to account holders. Your continued use of the Service after the changes take effect indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
